It has no railing so you have to watch your footing at the location, but the view is extraordinary. After this we went to a private area to view the Horseshow Bend. He also talked about the plants we saw on the way to the canyon and the history of the family who owns the land that canyon is on. Bob played a Navajo flute for us while we were in the canyon which added to the experience. We were there about noon so the sun caused rays of light in the canyon which added to the awesomeness. Bob, our guide, gave us plenty of time to take pictures and spend time admiring the beauty and strangeness of the slot canyon. We were the only 12 people in the slot canyon and we were not rushed. The slot canyon is on private land belonging to the owner of this tour company.

We traveled in open jeep type vehicles that held 12 people which decided the size of the tour. The canyons really are incredible and very beautiful.This was a wonderful bucket list type tour of a beautiful slot canyon and a private view of Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River. I normally like having a place to myself but everyone was polite and I was able to capture scenic photos without people in them. Our tour was 90 minutes and we had a group of 17 people. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time to insure the tour you want to explore isn’t sold out and most companies only take cash for reservations not booked in advance.

We splurged for the middle of the day tour because it’s supposed to have the best light. Antelope Canyon tours are expensive, they range from $40-60 per person based on the tour company and time of day that you visit.

They will take your picture in all of the best spots which I enjoyed since my husband and I don’t normally get any pictures of the two of us when we’re travelling. The guides were friendly and had a great sense of humor. They had great reviews and I had heard that they normally had less than 20 people to a tour group instead of 30-40. After a lot of research, we went with with Taadidiin Tours. You can’t visit Antelope Canyon without a tour guide and there are multiple tour companies that offer this excursion.
